The Concert of the World #91

Last month, I invited you to foretaste our duo with Melaine Dalibert, by watching the short film by Yann Lestrat. If you liked the voyage, you may extend the imto-weightlessness flight with the digital album to be released on the 6th of September on Signature/Radiophonie, the Radio France’s label. The 12-track instrumental album is a departure gate, its name is After Us and it will embark you wherever you wish. It even appears that some objects, encircled with its halo, start to levitate. We hope it will be your companion for many kinds of take-off, trip or meditation.

So that your landing be not too swift, here comes a new fresh and hot episode of Exprosion, another way to bath music meditation. Its name is Le concert du monde and it is also about the mystery of color. There we’ll meet again the velvet-friend-voices of Carlo Brandt, Claire ingrid Cottanceau and Clara Ysé.

I will also accompany my book in Luxembourg, at Esch-sur-Alzette where I am invited for the Périphérie du 41e Marché de la Poésie along with poets Juliette Mezenc, Guy Helminger and Jean Portante. On the 12th, we’ll be at the Librairie Diderich for a round-table discussion about the function of poetry nowadays, and on the 13th at the Kulturfabrik for an evening of reading.

On the 22nd, we will celebrate Summer time, at the Triton, in Les Lilas, with my so dear friend John Greaves, for a total improvised concert, intense, exalted, messy, electric, free and high-wire and whose expectation already looks like a big smile.

A skip-generation.
A year ago, the young ELAN. from Barcelona, aged 13 at that time, sent me a 12-song draft that let me open-mouthed. I immediately offered him to produce some of his songs and you can listen to the first one, a powerful hip-hop candy: IMPLANT.

A preview, an extract from mélusine reloaded, the magnificent coming book by Laure Gauthier, to be published on August 22 at Editions Corti. An extract that I was happy to instil with some guitare notes.

And, to close the season, we’ll start in July the creation of Daedalus by Frédéric Vossier, a long-term project, along with Madeleine Louarn and the students from the Rennes Théâtre National de Bretagne and la Cie Catalyse: a first step will be displayed at the TNB in September. But if you’re around the SEW in Morlaix on July 12, you might catch some fragments in mid-air.

After that, a short break to feed on reading and open air, to listen to the concert of the world and take the time to think about the many projects of the next season, that I will be happy to unveil in September.
