01 Nov Miz du #94
Miz du
≡ November 2024 ≡
In Breton, November is ‘miz du’, the black month and indeed it will be the colour of my timetable.
To go along with the Autumn spleen, there is nothing better than wrapping up warmly into the Mélodies de Fauré with Ici-Bas that we’ll play again with BAUM on the 9th at the Rockomotives in Vendôme, with the golden voices of Jeanne Added, Elise Caron, Hugh Coltman, Piers Faccini, John Greaves and Kyrie Kristmanson. That will also be a way to end the centennial year of Fauré, as well as this fantastic adventure, traced back in the film Fauré, Baum et les autres by Pauline Jardel, on screen at the Saint-Jacques Chapel for the opening of the festival.
From 13 to 23 in Rennes at the TNB Festival, theatre for your ears with my music composed for Daedalus by Frédéric Vossier and that we are still arranging for the stage with Madeleine Louarn, Catalyse and the students of the TNB. Every day at 6.00pm in the Paradis hall, you’ll be able to immerse yourself within the knotwork of the snake-man, and every afternoon with headphones delivered at the entrance.
Equally on display during the Festival, on the 14th and 15th, the latest creation of my smashtonishing brother, Julien Mellano, who will surely make miracles again with Jean-Clone which should include a little musical surprise hidden in the sentence.
From 13 to 23 in Paris, the Maison des Métallos will be occupied by the ‘Cabanes de lumière’ by Adrien M & Claire B: an opportunity to (re)discover one of their five installations among which our Mirages & Miracles and Last minute exhibited as well in Belgium at the Theatre de Liège du 7 au 9.
On the 13th in Paris at the Maison de la Poésie, I will accompany the poet Laure Gauthier for a Concert Reading of melusine reloaded, a novel with dystopia and inner fire, recently published by Corti and nominated for four literary awards.
On the 14th in Lille, will you be there and curious about the cooking behind creation, I’ll be at the Grand Bleu for debates and forums about drama and sound and staged music.
From blablabla to acting, among all this, I’ll record the voice of the marvellous Judith Chemla for the Géraldine Martineau’s film score, and I’ll lay the foundation of a new creation with Anne Théron, Carla Audebaud and Alex Descas at the Cité internationale de la langue française, just before meeting Laure Werckmann in Strasbourg to compose the music for her coming play Croire aux Fauves by Nastassja Martin.
Finally, two videos turn up at your place.
Nightrise, a new Unidentified-Flying-videO born from the collision of another Yann Lestrat’s creation and a title of After us our album with Melaine Dalibert.
And a concert in a duo that we improvised last June at the Triton with the precious John Greaves. As it seems to me that some of you could not go there, will you wish to see if you missed something, the concert’s
capture is available here on VOD.
May these gaps, these strikes of lightning or glimmer clear up the November sky.
