01 Dec A slide to softness
A slide to softness
≡ December 2018 ≡
To end the year, December slowing down for a balmy landing.
To start with, Saturday night fever in Beauvais where the first gigs’ salvo of MellaNoisEscape will end before coming back in April. On the 1st then, we will give it our last shot of dB at the Ouvre-Boîte, just after the screening of Climax, the latest film by Gaspar Noé.
A flood of guitars will follow in Grenoble. An invitation by Rodolphe Burger is always a chance to highlight people and to share intense on-stage moments. On the 11th at the MC2 we will partake in an assembly of famous guitar players: Bertrand Belin, Geoffrey Burton and Serge Teyssot-Gay. 5 by 6 chords + the 4 lowest by Sarah Murcia + the bionic barrels by Christophe Calpini = a delight in sight and the explosion of every Enedis meter in Grenoble. Good!
The movement will start slowing down just after whereas the heart will beat faster with Face à la mère, the Alexandra Tobelaim’s drama played out from 4 to 8 at the Théâtre National de Bordeaux Aquitaine, on the 11th at La Passerelle in Gap and on the 14th at La Faïencerie in Creil. 3 actors and 3 musicians to add sparkles to memory of Jean-René Lemoine and hold high his words.
And then, melting quietly towards the fluffy stasis of end of year’s celebrations, the Baum concerts will take over under the winged and kind whiskers of Gabriel Fauré on the 18th at the Théâtre Molière in Sète and on the 20th at Train-Théâtre in Portes-lès-Valence in a precious setting concocted by Sonia Bester with voices like angels-Élise Caron, John Greaves, Kyrie Kristmanson, Himiko Paganotti, Piers Faccini and Rosemary Standley.
If you are neither from Sète nor from Portes-lès-Valence and nevertheless also wish to wrap up warmly into the Melodies of Fauré, the video of the Avignon show is here and it may be that the Baum’s album Ici-bas is what you might (be) offer(ed) as the softest gift herewith.
As we need a twin to this peak of sweetness and since it is not only about rocking, like each year, we have fixed a special Pack MellaNoëlScape to sharpen your enthusiasm for the year to come.
Happy Season’s greetings. Let’s be strong, let’s be soft.
