Camp fires #97

While Maestro David Lynch has passed away with fire and the icy wind of Trump is falling on the world like a garmonbozia geyser, and while dystopias are more and more outrageously overtaken by reality, we must multiply camp fires.

Here come some of them.

An audio islet. The 9th episode of Exprosion .is, after a small rest, coming back to its cruising speed. Within one click, you’ll land on a beach where your mind will be stroked by waves and by the voices of Carlo Brandt, Claire ingrid Cottanceau and Clara Ysé, before tumbling into Un arc-en-ciel de gris, a rainbow of grey.

A time travel. Twenty years ago, producer Rudy Coclet called me upon to come and record at the speed of sound a bunch of guitars for A life on standby the 1st album of the Belgian band Mud Flow. I recently discovered that this great album, in the same vein as Deus or Venus, is a cult album in Belgium. On February 1st, Mud Flow comes back after 15 years of absence, for an exceptional concert at the Cirque Royal in Brussels and I’ll have the pleasure to join them on stage for the first time.

A film experience. Six years ago, Festival Travelling commissioned me a new film-concert for the Opera in Rennes. I selected Hour of the Wolf by Ingmar Bergman, a mesmerizing piece that follows you a long time after you have crossed it. As Stockholm is the theme of this year festival, it is a good opportunity to dive again into this fascinating movie. Thrill is guaranteed at the TNB on the 7th.

Howling with laughter effects the day after, the 8th, from 6pm to 8pm, on France Culture waves where I’ll meet my dear friend Pacôme Thiellement who makes me happy by inviting me for the radio programme of Arnaud Laporte,  Comme un samedi dedicated to Pacôme on that day and on which we’ll scatter some live music, with other nice comrades.
